The state of Victoria nominates skilled workers under Australia's state and territory nomination programs, offering a valuable pathway to permanent residence for applicants whose occupations are in demand across its economy. The Victoria State Sponsorship Skilled Occupation List sets out the occupations eligible for Victorian nomination, and being nominated by Victoria adds points to your Expression of Interest and strengthens your case for a skilled visa.
To qualify for Victorian state nomination, your occupation must appear on the list, and you generally need to meet minimum English language (IELTS or equivalent) requirements, satisfy the relevant skills assessment, and demonstrate the required work experience for your occupation. Several occupations also require registration or licensing with the relevant Australian or Victorian professional board.
